Liliana Gallego

Liliana Mª. Gallego D. is a PhD candidate in Applied Economics and Sociology at the UAB. Her doctoral thesis in economics is on “Well-being and gender in Medellín-Colombia 2006-2010: application of three studies” and her doctoral thesis in sociology is on “The causal mechanisms of educability: application to the case of Brazil, 2010”.

She is a junior researcher in the project: "Progress and limitations of Education for All". Previously, she worked in the project Training for Employment in Medellin (Inter-American Development Bank 2002-2004) and was lecturer and researcher at the University of Antioquia (2003-2004).

Her main research areas are poverty, inequality, well-being, capabilities, public policy and social policy.
