Alejandro Caravaca

Alejandro Caravaca (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theories of Education and Social Pedagogy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

His primary research interests lie at the intersection of critical education policy, comparative and international education, and gender studies, with a strong focus on social justice. Currently, his research agenda focuses on the trajectories of educational reforms internationally and the analysis of (anti)feminist discourses and practices in education.

He has held visiting positions at the University of Edinburgh, the University of Vienna, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with international bodies like Education International and UNESCO-IESALC, as well as national organizations such as the Catalan Institute of Public Policy Evaluation (Ivàlua), the InteRed Foundation, the Unitary Platform Against Gender-Based Violence, and the Catalan Youth Agency.
