Alejandro Caravaca is a current PhD candidate at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He holds a MSc in Social Policy, Work and Welfare and a BSc in Educational Studies. He has participated in research projects on educational policy in Latin America and the Caribbean, the historical role of the World Bank in the formulation of educational policies, and the processes of policymaking and enactment of gender-related policies in higher education in Catalonia. He has worked for international organizations such as Education International and UNESCO-IESALC, and his main research interests are located at the intersection between higher education, education policy, governance, comparative and international education, and gender studies.
