Francisco Pérez Basso is a PhD researcher at the Sociology Department of the Autonomous
University of Barcelona. His project analyses the impact of the commercial perspective of knowledge in the university’s economic resources management.
His thesis studies the commodification of knowledge attending different models of management, national idiosyncrasies, and the society of knowledge, following threads related to culture, economy and policy proper from the specific compared contexts and their people.
He holds a degree in Education Studies (2021) and a Master in Social Policy, Labour and Welfare (2022), both from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His main areas of interest are related to causes and consequences of the interaction between economics, politics, culture and education, such as the influence of stakeholders in educational policy, comparative education, higher education, and governance.
