Lluís Parcerisa

Lluís Parcerisa holds a PhD in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning and Educational Organization at the University of Barcelona (UB). He is an elected member of the Council of the Institute of Research in Education (IREUB), a member of the ESBRINA research group (2021 SGR 00686), and a research fellow at the Globalisation, Education and Social Policies (GEPS‑UAB) research centre.

His work lies at the intersection of sociology, educational technology and policy studies. Specifically, his research focuses on the political sociology of education reform, the enactment and effects of data‑driven governance instruments and technologies in schools, and the processes of education privatization. He currently leads the MedIAP project, which investigates how teachers mediate the integration of learning analytics and artificial intelligence in compulsory secondary education (EDU/2903/2023).
