Martí Manzano is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on subjectivities in educational settings, with a special interest in inequalities, migration, and race from an intersectional perspective. His main areas of interest include educational transitions and trajectories, the sociology of identifications and aspirations, school segregation and desegregation policies, critical approaches to diversity and inclusion, educational policy evaluation, and longitudinal and visual methodologies.
Martí has participated in seven research projects at both national and international levels and collaborates in knowledge-transfer activities in Barcelona, Catalonia, Chile, and Brazil. He has also co-directed a sociology outreach podcast called Coses Dites. In terms of teaching, he has taught several courses in the Department of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and currently teaches mainly in the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Barcelona (UB).
