Martí Manzano is a PhD researcher at the Department of Sociology at the UAB, his project analyses transitions to post-compulsory education of descendants of migrants in Barcelona. Actually, the principal areas of interest of his work in sociology of education are the interactions of class, migration and ethnicity axes of inequality, educational trajectories and transitions and the links between social and scholar identities. He has also researched and published in areas such as school marketing, educational innovation and segregation. Martí has contributed to research projects on early school leaving and educational transitions and he has worked as consultant with institutions like the Barcelona City Council or the school of new opportunities El Llindar.
