GLOBED

The Erasmus Mundus in Education Policies for Global Development (GLOBED) aims to set new standards as an international Master in the field of globalization, education and international development.

ACOMPANYA’M

Acompanya’m is a comprehensive programme of guidance and support for educational transitions and aimed at reducing school dropout both after completing lower secondary education and during upper secondary education. It departs from consolidated evidence on the centrality of educational transitions in explaining dropping out and Early School Leaving. It also echoes the accumulated knowledge on the importance of prevention actions to increase young people’s opportunities to continue their studies.

Learner identity and learning trajectories in secondary education: curricular policies, pedagogic practices, and students’ social contexts. LEARNER project gives a central role to young people’s subjective relationships with learning.

GENTRED

The GENTRED project aims to assess the impact of urban gentrification on various aspects of the educational landscape, with a particular focus on educational inequality. Using Barcelona as a case study, the research covers the period from 2011 to 2021 to analyze how gentrification reshapes the supply and demand of education in affected urban areas.

EDUTRACE explores the evolution of education policy within the quality assurance reform cycle from 2000 to 2025, with a focus on curriculum, teacher policies, and assessment, and how this cycle coexists with emerging social demands and policy mandates such as educational equity, social innovation, and inclusion. It combines policy sociology and comparative social policy to uncover the dynamics of education reform across varied contexts.  

ACCOUNTED

ACCOUNTED is an ERC-funded Proof of Concept that explores how shifting school accountability from individual schools to school networks within an educational zone can reshape incentives, foster collaboration, and drive school improvement. Through a pilot project, it assesses whether a shared accountability approach encourages schools to take collective responsibility for improving educational outcomes across the entire zone. 

CLEAR

CLEAR’s overall aim is to examine the combination of factors shaping learning outcomes and thus affecting their quality. CLEAR inquiries into the impact of policies to design participative activities and increase social upward mobility for young people.

DESEGPOL

School segregation is currently one of the major educational and social challenges faced by European countries and cities. The fight against school segregation has direct implications for the right to education, the quality of public services, and social cohesion.

BLEARN_AUTONOMY

Fostering higher education students’ feedback through blended learning. The project experimented with digital, innovative strategies that improve teachers’ feedback to higher education students.

ecass. EUROPEAN CITIES AGAINST SCHOOL SEGREGATION

ECASS is designed as a knowledge exchange project to design, test and apply innovative solutions for tackling school segregation at the local level.

Public-private partnerships in educational governance: An analysis of its dissemination, implementation and impact in a globalizing world

EPD – Employability in programme development

Establishing a labour market to higher education feedback loop drawing on local labour market intelligence. The project seeks to establish a feedback loop from the labour market to HEIs to best support the employability of future graduates.

Pla de xoc contra la segregació escolar

This project evaluates the Shock Plan against school segregation promoted by the Barcelona Education Consortium (CEB).

Factors of educational exclusion in Spain

The project analyses the situation of the Spanish education system from the perspective of educational exclusion/inclusion. The research systematises the multiple factors of exclusion from an experiential and subjective perspective.
