Relmu Gedda is a sociologist with a master’s degree in education, specialising in Educational Evaluation, from the Universidad de La Frontera (Chile). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where belong to the Globalisation, Education and Social Policies (GEPS) research group. His areas of research are linked to the study of educational trajectories in secondary and higher education within social inequality contexts. The main aim of his doctoral thesis is to understand the trajectories and experiences of first-generation students in Chile, especially those who have persisted through the final years of their university programs.
